This two-day training hosted by the Providers Clinical Support System – Medications for Alcohol Use Disorder (PCSS-MAUD) will provide a comprehensive overview of alcohol use disorder (AUD), AUD treatment and recovery options, including medications for alcohol use disorder and cultural considerations for treating different populations. The training will build skills to identify and diagnose AUD, determine a medication to treat AUD based on patients’ unique needs and goals, and assess the risk for alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Through didactic presentations, case discussions, knowledge checks, and small group discussions, training participants will have the opportunity to apply learned skills and engage with their peers and the presenters.
