Overview

This 60-minute, on-demand session presented by Dr. Melissa Weimer and Dr. Stephen Holt discusses the use of medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD) in patients with liver disease. By the end of this session, learners will be able to compare and contrast efficacy data for FDA-approved MAUD and use clinical reasoning to apply the evidence for MAUD in specific case scenarios. This course is not eligible for credit. 

The target audience for this intermediate level activity includes: Prescribers of all types

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast efficacy data for FDA-approved medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD). 
  2. Describe recent literature that highlights the safety of MAUD in individuals with liver disease. 
  3. Use clinical reasoning to apply the evidence for MAUD in specific case scenarios.
